I got saved when I was 12 at a little church called Sanford Christian Missionary Alliance in Sanford, Florida. My dream was to go to Africa, write and tell everybody about Jesus.

My mother died unexpectedly at age 17, I got married the first time at 19, the second time at 28, had ownership in several businesses, then suddenly, six years and four children later I found myself starting over 300 miles from home, with nothing but 2 children, 2 relatives, a bunkbed, TV, and $700 and Jesus!
I kept looking at my drivers license to see if my middle name was dysfunction. It wasn't there but I know it like my middle name. Now, 18 years later I can look back and see how marvelously God works miracles. Yes, and if he did it for me, he will do it for you. I learned first hand that Jesus is the calm in the midst of the storm, thus the name of this ministry. So, if you are, or know someone, in the midst of life's storms and wondering how you can make it, there is peace, love, joy and happiness awaiting you.
This is what we believe, as a tenant of faith:
We, as followers of God and students of the Word of God, believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried; was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is True God and True Man.
We believe the bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and the guideline for each believer's conduct.
We believe the dead in Christ will rise first and those who are still alive will be caught up together to meet the Lord. I Cor.15:52; I Thess.4:16-17
We believe in the eternal happiness of the Saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.
We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe in Sanctification through the Word of God.
We believe in the gifts of the Spirit.
We believe in water baptism, in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth, in Speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. Acts 2:4.
We believe in the Lord's Supper.
We believe that nothing is too hard for God.

Vision
To build an international prayer, teaching and service ministry, echoing the call of Christ to preach salvation to the lost, set captives free, and healing and hope to the sick and broken hearted.

Our focus:

Beginning in May 08, I will be starting a Women In Ministry Support Group meeting. This will be geared toward encouraging and strengthening any and all women who are actively involved in full or part time ministry.
I will also be open for private pastoral prayer appointments & taking calls for hospital visitation and prayer for families of those who are in the hospital, or have just lost a loved one and need prayer.
Listed below is some basic long term goals and information:

o Prayer & ministry outreach center for those that are in need of physical, emotional & spiritual healing.
o Provide faith based life management skills, outreach to the sick and elderly and training for those desiring to increase their faith and find their place in ministry within the body of Christ.
o Target market are those in need of faith based prayer, teaching and prayer as well as pastors & chaplains, lay ministers and those who minister in churches, lay ministries who need a place to receive refreshing and encouragement.
o There are many individuals in need of a place to go where they can receive prayer, Biblical teaching and training.
o The benefits they will receive are healing, deliverance from bondages and Christian training for business and ministry.
THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound.
First year's financial goal is 40,000. Expenses 34,000.
Five Year Plan
Year One - church service Open an office either on my property or lease an office in an office park, building business and ministry clients. Conduct a weekly Bible Study, and monthly special events such as outreach to community members, pastors, lay ministers, and their spouses.
Establish network for providing services such as shopping, meal preparation, light housekeeping and repairs.
Provide faith based leadership training, business and personal financial planning training and life management skills.
Establish addiction recovery program.
Organize, plan & execute sick, shut-in and hospital visitation program.
Year Two - Hire an associate/partner to carry out the daily business and take on an apprentice for business training. Extend ministry to a larger location and establish other ministers to conduct daily prayer & counseling times. Lease house for ministry meetings and pastor retreat center.
Year Three - Expand business and ministry office if necessary and hire additional staff. Take on two additional apprentices for training. Begin building plans for Eye of the Storm Healing House. Acquire property and finances for building. Begin search for resident mothersť and other individuals, churches to help take part in the vision. Plan first annual Eye of the Storm mission journey. Begin construction on house and develop mission and manual for it's operation.
Year Four - Interview staff and first occupants for Healing House. Continue business growth and expansion and mentoring program. Work on publishing current works in progress and begin establishing a speaking tour to research missions throughout the USA and the world to interview. Complete Eye of the Storm Healing House construction and hold grand opening.
Year Five - Plan three journalism research trips for three months each to live and begin writing their stories. Return to U.S. and spend three months writing and recruiting for the following year.
